Ok. So this will be the official post that we will refer people to if they would like to get Archetypes.
First question. What are archetypes?
Archetypes are low resolution graphics that reduce your frame per second lag. In essence it'll make everything look milky and whatnot, creating what looks like a clay town. It also helps to improve aim, as characters will stand out more against the background.
Archetypes are very simple to get as Liquid and I explained in the thread "Clay Town???"
There are a few simple steps that you will take.
Step 1): Open up my computer. Click Local Disk (C:). Go to your Ijji folder, ENGLISH, and Gunz.
Step 2): Locate an XML document named config. Right click it and go to Open With ----> Notepad.
Step 3): Go down to video. There will be numbers like 800, and statements like true or false in between arrows. Make sure you dont delete any of the arrows as it will affect everything (chances are your Gunz won't start or it'll act retarded.)
Step 4): Edit Your Settings. Here's a list of the statements and numbers you will use.
Width - 800
Height - 600
Colorbits - 16
Gamma - 255
FullScreen - TRUE
Reflection - false
Lightmap - false
Dynamiclight - false
Shader - false
CharacterTextureLevel - 1
MapTextureLevel - 8
EffectLevel - 0
TextureFormat - 8
NHARDWARETNL - false
Step 5): Go to File ----> Save
If you set Archetypes you can
NOT edit anything from your options menu in game. This means rejecting whispers, config settings, everything must be set through your config document. I will also post How To's on how to set Macros using the XML document, how to choose Xhairs, etc.
Enjoy.
